Why Service my Solar System?

New Australian Standards (5033-C1)
state that every solar system should be periodically maintained. Increasingly insurance companies are asking for this to be carried out. Why not let SJW Electrical and Solar inspect your solar system annually to give you peace of mind and make your investment worthwhile. Are your electricity prices continuously on the rise?

Standard servicing cost:
1KW - 3KW $160
3KW - 5KW $190
5KW - 10KW $240
Additional cost for two storey properties $120

Even though your solar system is working, a periodic inspection is still needed.
Here is a list of some things checked in a periodic report:

-	Cleanliness of panels
-	Visual defects on panels, fractures, browning, moisture penetration and frame corrosion (this can all lead to fires)
-	Inspect isolators/junctions for tightness of connections, water penetration or any sign of damage
-	Tighten all clamps which hold the panels down
-	Check all voltages and currents are acceptable
-	Check cables for UV damage
